A fantastic find with its retro-charm! The shared bathroom was remarkably clean, and the provided robes made moving around easy. A memorable touch was the availability of DVD players in the room, alongside a selection of movies you could borrow in the lobby. The location is ideal, just a block from the water, and the friendly staff added to the enjoyable atmosphere.

The Commodore Hotel has a unique charm with its cozy, vintage decor that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. I particularly loved the little touches like a fire pit area for relaxing and a cute cafe nearby for breakfast and espresso.
The noise from the traffic outside was noticeable.

great charm but noisy at times
The staff left a great impression, especially Chris, whose friendliness made us feel welcomed. We loved the unique decor, especially the little record player and vinyl coasters adding nostalgia. The room was spacious and cozy, giving us a perfect spot to relax. Plus, the river view was absolutely breathtaking, making our stay even more enjoyable.
We found the noise from the street a bit bothersome at night.

Couple looking for charm
We had a lovely stay. The front desk staff were not just friendly, they were engaging. It was almost like sitting around with old pals. Plus, the breakfast at the attached café was just fantastic, fresh ingredients and prepared well -- couldn't ask for more.
The price wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but honestly, it was still fair for what we got.

Staying with my friends was a blast! The hotel was a great jumping-off point for adventures. We loved checking out the Maritime Museum and Fort George Brewing Company. The staff was super friendly and the lobby had a cool vibe. Just a heads up, parking is tricky during busy times, so plan ahead!
Our only issue was that the bed felt a bit like a sinkhole, making it hard to get comfortable. We kept rolling into the middle all night. It might be worth getting a room with a private bathroom next time.
